Rigor & Reproducibility Core

About the Core

We support investigators in strengthening Rigor and Reproducibility by providing high-quality statistical and bioinformatics analysis. Our team offers expert consultation on study design, sample size and power calculations, protocol review, analysis planning, and authentication of key biological and chemical resources.

Vision

Advancing research built on rigorous design, reproducible methods, and trusted data.

Services

  • Biostatistics Services
    • We offer professional guidance in all aspects of statistical methodology.
  • Bioinformatics Support
    • Our bioinformatics support includes both service-based analysis and collaborative research engagement
  • Training Programs
    • The core is dedicated to advancing the training of emerging scientists in the principles and best practices of rigor and reproducibility.

Research Collaboration

The core delivers customized statistical and bioinformatics support for funded projects, developing methods and software tailored to each study. Projects requiring significant effort should include core personnel in the budget. Investigators are encouraged to contact us to explore collaborative opportunities.

Training & Education

We are committed to preparing the next generation of scientists in best practices for rigor and reproducibility. In partnership with the Department of Statistics, School of Public Health, School of Medicine, and AgriLife, we offer workshops and webinars on study design, randomization, blinding, batch effects, reproducibility, validation, and authentication. We also support curriculum development and pursue external funding through programs such as NIH (U24, U01, R25, T32, T35), NSF (NRT, REU), and Gulf Coast Consortium training initiatives.
