As a graduate research assistant with a diverse academic background, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my role. My academic journey includes a Bachelor's degree in Biology from American University in Washington, D.C., followed by a Master's degree in Physiology from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, O.H.
Having had the privilege of working both at the patient's bedside and in the research laboratory, I have cultivated a robust interest in translational medicine. My current focus lies in investigating and characterizing antimicrobial resistance in the gut pathogen C. difficile as part of my thesis lab work.
Beyond the laboratory, I am actively engaged in science communication. I volunteer as a writer for the Vital Record, where I contribute to translating complex scientific findings into accessible content for a broader audience. This experience not only enhances my ability to communicate science effectively but also underscores my commitment to bridging the gap between research and public understanding.
In addition to my research endeavors, I proudly serve as the GIC Representative for the graduate student organization, contributing to the growth and development of our academic community. This multifaceted role allows me to combine my passion for research with a dedication to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for fellow graduate students.
