Biography
Dr. Yusi Fu received her bachelor’s degree in biotechnology from Sun Yet-Sun University in Guangzhou, China, and her PhD in Biophysics from Peking University in Beijing, China. She completed postdoctoral work under Dr. Meng Wang at the Huffington Center on Aging at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She has also served as a Research Assistant Professor at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.Dr. Fu’s research focuses on the refinement and advancement of high-throughput single-cell genomic techniques, aiming to unravel the intricacies of cancer evolution and the aging process. From both experimental and analytical viewpoints, her lab melds bioinformatics, engineering, and cutting-edge methodologies to address pivotal translational questions. These include early cancer diagnosis, molecular cancer subtyping, aging-related genetic markers, and genetic predispositions linked to hearing loss. Dr. Fu has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in esteemed journals such as Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Nature Aging, Genome Research, Communications Biology, Frontiers in Cellular Neuroscience, and HGG Advances.
