Biography
Research InterestsDr. Kondapaneni's lab focuses on study of retrotransposons, particularly role of LINE-1 in pulmonary pathology. We are specifically interested in the genomic and epigenetic regulatory mechanisms that lead to development of COPD and Lung cancer. We hope our discoveries lead to individualized and precision medical approaches for these patients. Being an interventional pulmonologist with both clinical and basic research experience allows to bring new technologies from bench to bedside.
