About Genomic and Precision Medicine

Precision medicine approaches remind us that “one size does not fit all”. A person’s genetic variations coupled with lifestyle and environmental influences can influence their susceptibility to disease and their response to treatment. The Texas A&M Center for Genomics & Precision Medicine was created to advance personalized medicine in ways that positively impact healthcare at the level of individuals and populations. Our mission is to perform innovative translational biomedical research and to transfer discoveries to the classroom, clinic, and the marketplace.
